Week 18 – Mbeumo es muy bueno

With 3 goals and an assist contributing to a 22 point haul, B. Mbeumo (£3.9m) is this week’s Star Player of the Week.

Brentford and Arsenal did have two games mind you so M. Kerkez (£2.5m) Savinho (£4.0m) and R. Jimenez (£3.8m) are worth honorable mentions all scoring double digits in just one fixture.

and we mustn’t overlook the continued form of Nottingham Forest, Murillo (£2.3m) makes the Team of the Week over his defensive team mates via his ultra cheap price.

M. Sels (£3.2m), N. Milenkovic (£2.7m) and O. Aina (£2.4m) consolidate their places in the Team of the Season, G. Magalhaes (£4.3m) replaces T. Alexander-Arnold (£5.2m) this week in the defence.

B. Fernandes (£6.4m) replaces the injured J. Bowen (£5.3m) and B. Mbuemo’s (£3.9m) cheaper price tag replaces level on points, A. Isak (£5.1m).

A mention to E. Haaland (£8.5m) who’s recent uptake in form moves him closer to C. Palmer (£5.8m) and the imperious M. Salah (£7.2m).

with M. Damsgaard (£3.7m) coming into the mix and B. Mbeumo (£3.9m) replacing the ultra expensive Haaland. But, beware, Brentford have tough League fixtures forthcoming (don’t forget, the below doesn’t include this weekend’s FA Cup games !) :-

although B. Mbeumo (£3.9m) has scored points regardless of the opposition. NB – Forest’s fixtures are set to get tougher also.

Liverpool and Newcastle have a good run of fixtures including a double game week for Liverpool potentially in February so lets have a look at the players in form for those two clubs, filtered reports as ever available on the Player Stats Portal :-

Jumping out to us are the obvious two M. Salah (£7.2m) and A. Isak (£5.1m) as well as A. Gordon (£4.7m), L. Hall (£2.7m), A. Mac Allister (£4.2m) and even C. Gakpo (£5.3m) although there is a lot of competition for the striker berths.

Also worth a look are the very cheap J. Murphy (£2.9m) and M. Dubravka (£2.8m) although, beware the first choice Newcastle goalkeeper N. Pope (£4.0m) is not far away from returning now.
