Week 24 – Mo hits another double century

Thankfully we’re back to the Premier League this week and thus a full set of non-rotated TFF players !
That said, the Team of the Week is full of less familiar names, M. Salah (£7.2m) of course, being the notable exception ! Quick tip of the hat to the phenomenal Mo, he breaches the 200 points mark from just 25 games played – an incredible average of 8.24 points per game ! Were he to carry on at that scoring rate….he’d comfortably breach the 300 points for the season mark !!
NB – as per ChatGPT :- “The highest points total ever achieved in the Telegraph Fantasy Football season is 292 points, set by Didier Drogba”. Doesn’t say which year that was but, I’m guessing season 2009-2010. Do we think Mo will beat it….?!
Despite all this he’s still only owned by 58% of gamers 😯, second to C. Palmer (£5.8m) who’s owned by 72%.

Other players of note from the Team of the Week include new signings O. Marmoush (£4.9m) who bags a hat-trick and is our Star player of the week (ahead of Mo due to his much lower price tag) and C. Alcaraz (£2.5m) of Everton who may well be worth keeping an eye on at such a low price tag…
Likewise, Beto (£3.7m) of David Moyes’ resurgent Everton and M. Merino (£4.5m) of Arsenal who notched a brace from the subs bench and may rack up some points as a make shift striker…..?
The ‘money is no object’ Team of the Season has a few changes from last week, M. Sels (£3.2m) is back replacing J. Pickford (£3.7m), G. Magalhaes (£4.3m) returns at the expense of O. Aina (£2.4m). K. Mitoma (£3.6m) returns to the top eleven (he was last seen in Weeks 1 and 2!) and C. Wood (£3.5m) replaces A. Isak (£5.1m).
The Affordable and Available Team of the Season is basically the same as above – swapping out E. Haaland (£8.5m) for A. Isak (£5.1m) saving you £3.4m and thus bringing the team into budget.

The Weekly Form Comparison, page 7 on the Player Stats Portal :-

highlights two Palace defenders not mentioned already, D. Munoz (£2.7m) who received his accolades in last weeks blog ! but also M. Guehi (£3.3m) who has also been on good form.
A. Semenyo (£2.8m) of Bournemouth is yet another striker worthy of consideration.
We mentioned Everton and Moyes earlier, they have leaped up 3 places in the overall Team Stats :-

and Arsenal’s clean sheet at the weekend has moved them back to the top of number of Goals conceded.
Everton are scoring low in the Fixture Difficulty list:-

but, they do have a reasonable next 4 games before facing Liverpool and Arsenal, remember also they are OUT of the Cup.
Wolves on the other hand are still in the cup, albeit with a tough away fixture at Bournemouth whom they also face away next in the league. The FA Cup 5th round fixtures are played in TFF Week 26 which is a double game week for the likes of Man City, Villa, Palace, Bournemouth, Newcastle, Forest and United, fits into the above as week 27.5…
In fact, I’m growing tired of using the above FPL list, what with its 1% chance of a fixture (Palace and Newcastle, Week 29, why bother including?!) – I’m going to make my own TFF version ! keep an eye on the Portal if its not been done before next weeks blog… 😆
Wolves players worthy of consideration for those tasty looking fixtures from TFF Week 26 onwards would appear to be the top 2 in particular, J. Gomes (£2.9m) in midfield and a stand out from earlier in the season, star striker M. Cunha (£3.6m) :-

Thanks for reading and keep an eye out for a TFF version of the fixture ticker…. ! 🙂
