Week 25 – Mo Salah wins the title ?!

The games are coming now fast and furious so, a quick blog to prepare for a double game week 26 for those teams still in the Cup !
A more familiar and indeed expensive set of players making up Week 25’s Team of the Week, led (of course!) by M. Salah (£7.3m) who’s 20 points scored from Liverpool’s double game week rewards him with his 9th appearance in this season’s Team of the Week. This feat is even more remarkable considering Mo’s price tag (which makes it harder to get into the TotW), second highest only to E. Haaland (£8.5m).
Interesting to note second highest number of appearances in Team of the Week goes to D. Munoz (£2.7m) who is now a regular in the Team of the Season and a bargain at £2.7m.

A few changes to the money no object Team of the Season – J. Pickford (£3.7m) replaces M. Sels (£3.3m), D. Kulusevski (£4.8m) replaces K. Mitoma (£3.6m) and A. Isak (£5.1m) returns with a brace to replace the injured E. Haaland (£8.5m).

Our Affordable and Available Team of the Season requires two tweaks to come in under the £50 mil budget – M. Sels (£3.2m) instead of Pickford and K. Mitoma (£3.6m) instead of Kulusevski. These two changes costs the team just 3 points with a saving of £1.7m.
Hopefully you checked back in to take advantage of our new Fixture Ticker – now customised for TFF rather than FPL i.e. includes FA Cup fixtures and the correct Game Weeks. Page 6 on the Player Stats Portal :-

The Pts Orig are from the FPL version – Pts Adjusted account for the FA Cup fixtures and also Newcastle and Palace play each other in TFF game week 33 as opposed to FPL’s game week 32.
Obviously player rotation needs to be taken into consideration for those Cup fixtures but, one would expect the all Prem clashes in particular to be free from this risk.
The additional cup games generally mean those teams rank higher, in particular the teams who don’t have a blank in game week 28 (Palace, Villa, Newcastle and Liverpool) due to the Carabao Cup final.

With E. Haaland (£8.5m) an injury risk but still in 33% of teams, the following are some form players from Teams higher up in the Fixture Picker as potential Haaland replacements, should he not make it back for Wednesday’s game at Tottenham (or Spurs/Tottenham Hotspur should we say 😉
One would assume if he’s touch and go for Spurs he won’t be risked for Plymouth at home so, here are some potential replacements:-

We particularly like M. Salah (£7.3m) obviously 😆 and C. Wood (£3.5m) of Forest who have 5 home fixtures in the next 7 including Ipswich in the cup (whom they also play away in week 28).
M. Cunha (£3.6m) of Wolves is back in form over the last 4 weeks in particular and Wolves have the second easiest (behind City) set of forthcoming fixtures. B. Fernandes (£6.4m) of United may pick up some points in the their next 3 fixtures at Old Trafford…. in spite of the affliction of his team-mates…?! 😂
K. Mitoma (£3.6m) is also in good form (and in the Affordable Team of the Season) and Brighton have a reasonable run of fixtures also.
Man City and Bournemouth are the other teams not featured with good fixtures and no blank game weeks, whilst none of their players feature prominently in the above form guide:-

the likes of Team of the Season member – J. Kluivert (£2.7m), D. Ouattara (£3.1m) and A. Semenyo (£2.8m) were on good form until very recently from Bournemouth.
From City it’s hard to pick anyone out ! – best options would seem to be P. Foden (£5.4m) or O. Marmoush (£4.9m) who has enjoyed just one, albeit, outstanding week.
We’ll leave it there for now – back next week for what should be 🤞a bumper week of Fantasy Football points, enjoy ! 😊

Nice update, teams will be vastly rotated for the cup I reckon, so we should see the bigger teams try and rest players, especially with the injuries we are seeing this season
hmm, yes quite possibly… I think I read Forest have played second strings in the Cup and are expected to continue to do so.
may need to have the finger on the Transfer button when teams are announced? E.g. were Haaland to play against Plymouth at home… or Mateta/Eze started against Millwall.. high chance of big hauls?! 🙂
