Week 28 – Sailing on the boat of Bruno

Week 28 – Sailing on the boat of Bruno

With four clubs blanking this week due to the Carabao Cup Final (congrats Newcastle, for now the most likeable of the middle eastern state owned clubs) this was a chance for other players to catch up a bit on the fantasy football points scoring charts…. and B. Fernandes (£6.4m) has certainly stolen the spotlight with two assists and a goal against a hapless Leicester City side giving him a 16 point haul and making him this weeks Star Player.

T. Alexander-Arnold’s (£5.2m) injury looks set to keep him out for awhile so, he has been replaced in the Affordable and Available Team of the Season with N. Milenkovic (£2.7m) who now leads the batch of Forest defenders sitting on the Team of the Season virtual sub’s bench.

Back to Bruno, he now moves up to a season total of 169 points, overtaking A. Isak (£5.1m) and C. Palmer (£5.8m) into the game’s third highest points scorer, just one point behind E. Haaland (£8.5m)

Plenty of gamers must have noted Bruno’s form and, with the likes of Salah, and Isak blanking and Palmer an unexpected injury omission, Fernandes was the joint (alongside Haaland) most transferred in player this week with 5% of gamers bringing him into their sides.

Fernandes leads the six week form charts also, page 7 on the Player Stats Portal :-

Impressively scoring bonus points in every one of his last six games, although it should be noted only one of those fixtures was against a ‘top’ team, Arsenal. That all being said, with Manchester United now blanking in the next game week 29 and facing tough fixtures up to week 32, the Bruno boat may now have sailed for those of us who weren’t on it 😖…

We now break for Internationals with Game Week 29 hosting FA Cup fixtures only, we’ll have a quick early look now at the best picks based on recent form, from the cup quarter finalists – Brighton, Bournemouth, Forest, City, Fulham, Villa and Palace:-

Bournemouth players have rather ‘gone off the boil’ in recent weeks, Team of the Season stalwart J. Kluivert (£2.7m) is perhaps the best option from them athough they do have good looking fixtures up till week 32.

D. Munoz (£2.7m) is the standout player from Palace, who also benefit from having the most confirmed fixtures – 8 over the next 6 game weeks.

Forest present us with more obvious options, M. Sels (£3.2m) and N. Milenkovic (£2.7m) at the back as well as the consistent M. Gibbs-White (£3.4m) in midfield who has 6 assists and 1 goal in the last 7 game weeks. C. Wood (£3.5m) has gone off the boil a little and hasn’t scored for the last 4 game weeks but, may therefore be due a goal or two…?

Brighton have theoretically the easiest set of forthcoming fixtures, like Wood, Team of the Season member K. Mitoma (£3.6m) has blanked in the last few weeks so, may well be due some points now. Strikers G. Rutter (£3.5m) and J. Pedro (£3.3m) and attacking midfielder Y. Minteh (£2.9m) appear to be the other best options from Brighton.

O. Marmoush’s (£4.9m) goal at the weekend elevates him alongside E. Haaland (£8.5m) as the best picks from City – joining them as striking options are – R. Muniz (£3.4m) of Fulham and O. Watkins (£5.7m) of Villa.

For now, fingers crossed no injuries from the Internationals….. 🤞😊
