Week 23 – Back to the Arsenal defence and Haaland
A partial double game week led to lots of points scoring opportunities for the Carabao Cup semi finalists, in particular Arsenal who notched two clean sheet victories against Chelsea (1-0) and then Sunderland (3-0).
Unsurprisingly, it is Arsenal players who dominate the Team of the Week, although it is hat-trick hero C. Palmer (£6.2m) who is our Star Player with 18 points and, perhaps now a return to TFF form to save his season…?

A couple of changes in the Team of the Season, firstly D. Raya (£4.4m) replaces R. Roefs (£2.6m) BUT, Raya’s higher cost tips the Team budget over £50 mil so, Roefs keeps his spot in the Affordable Team of the Season :-

M. Rogers (£3.8m) was back on the score sheet and he thus displaces H. Wilson (£2.9m) in the only other change.
In transfer movements, H. Ekitike (£5.1m) was transferred in by 5% of gamers…. and they were promptly rewarded with a blank 😆. J. Pedro (£4.5m) on the other hand is a very shrewd transfer in and he notched a couple of assists and 10 points this week.

Benched and out of form P. Foden (£5.4m) continues to be sold off, his permanently woeful expression (you know what I mean, this one) :-

is somewhat fitting 😆. Gamers ditching I. Thiago (£3.6m) may have jumped the gun just a little as he scored but, Brentford do face the meanest defence in the league (Arsenal) next so…

Moving on to the fixtures, I can’t quite recall a triple up in a single game week before? but, that’s what Arsenal and Wolves have in a chocker, FA Cup double game week (for most teams!) 24:-

I hope you’ve saved plenty of transfers as, this is an example of the times the TFF game allows for some serious Transfer maximisation. E.g. Spurs, Everton and to a lesser extent, Man Utd are out of the cups and have early kick offs this week.
Replacing those players for the likes of Arsenal and Wolves would get you a 4 games for the position in just one game week !! That said, Watch Out for FA Cup rotation, particularly from Arsenal…
Keeping those fixtures in mind, we’ve highlighted below our form recommended players from Arsenal, Chelsea and City :-

Worth considering bringing in any of these you don’t already have:-
The apparently nailed on starting defensive Arsenal assets – J. Timber (£4.3m), G. Magalhaes (£4.5m), D. Raya (£4.4m) and W. Saliba (£4.6m). Joining them are interesting differentiators M. Zubimendi (£4.1m) and V. Gyokeres (£5.7m) although he maybe a minutes risk now with G. Jesus (£5.5m) and K. Havertz (£5.1m) offering stiff competition.
J. Pedro (£4.5m) and, back in form E. Haaland (£8.3m) also stand out as in form ‘must haves’…
