Week 32 – Gibbs-White is Alright

A crucial week of Premier League action with Man (115) City beating their title rivals Arsenal to move within striking distance of the Gunners at the top of the table.

Great wins for Forest and Leeds gives them the advantage in the relegation battle, in which Spurs let slip what could be a crucial dropped 2 points at home to Brighton.

Hat-rick hero M. Gibbs-White (£3.9m) is this week’s Star Player of the Week:-

The Team of the Season seems pretty much set now, the final midfield spot currently occupied by N. O’Reilly (£3.1m) is perhaps the main position at risk with M. Rogers (£3.8m) and R. Cherki (£3.5m) just 7 points behind him.

City players, including O’Reilly and Cherki top the list of players being brought in with D. Calvert-Lewin (£3.7m) and J. Bowen (£5.5m) the only non-City players proving popular this week.

H. Wilson (£2.9m) and Team of the Season stalwart, I. Thiago (£3.6m) are being ditched.

Man City are really dominating virtually every metric now and they still have potentially 8 fixtures left ! (assuming they beat Southampton at Wembley on Saturday), 3 more games than the vast majority of teams:-

Then again they did break 115 different financial fair play rules to achieve this so…. 😆

Aside from City players, the form of J. Bowen (£5.5m), M. Gibbs-White (£3.8m), K. Dewsbury-Hall (£3.6m) and N. Okafor (£3.2m) is good:-

At this stage of the season you’re likely looking for differential players to try and give you that edge over your rivals and their likely City dominated sides !

Goalkeeper could be a position worth considering, the Top 5 recent points scoring keepers are all less than 5% ownership.

In Defence also none of the Top 10 performing defenders are in the top 10 % Picked By list ! and the top 3 highlighted below are in < 1% of gamers sides :-

Of the highlighted form midfielders below none are in the top 5 % Picked By list and Star Player of the Week – M. Gibbs-White (£3.8m) in particular could be a real differential punt:-

Less choices from the strikers but, if funds are needed for other positions then N. Okafor (£3.2m) could be a real bargain, he is in < 1 % of teams and his ranking above is based really on just the last 3 game weeks !
