Week 9 – More Premier League surprises
Another weekend of surprises with losses for Liverpool (again! 😯), Man City and Chelsea and wins for all three promoted sides….. Sunderland move into a Champions League spot !! 😂
M. van De Ven (£3.3m) is the star player of the week, bagging a brace and a clean sheet in a fine win for Spurs at Everton.

van De Ven’s 17 point haul moves him into the Team of the Season, replacing M. Guehi (£3.6m). B. Mbuemo’s (£4.2m) brace in a resurgent Man Utd side results in his debut into the Team of the Season.
Gamers who brought in Team of the Season members G. Magalhaes (£4.5m) and J. Timber (£4.3m) were rewarded with yet another clean sheet from the Arsenal defence.
J. Palhina (£3.8m) is another Team of the Season member increasing in popularity, he was added by 4% of gamers and his 4 tackles gained him 4 points this week.

On the other end of the spectrum, gamers continue to ditch Liverpool players, including M. Salah (£7.7m) he is down now to just 33% ownership. J. Pedro (£4.5m) blanked for the fifth game in a row, resulting in another 5% giving up on him.

A double game week is forthcoming for those teams still in the Carabao Cup:-

Rotation remains a risk of course but, gamers who gamble on bringing in starting eleven players may very well be rewarded with points – witness Team of the Season member D. Gomez (£2.6m) – his only significant points this season came in Brighton’s Carabao Cup 3rd round tie against Barnsley where Gomez bagged four goals and the highest weekly points score (26) of the season so far ! 😆
Looking at the Weekly Form Comparison report, page 8 on the Player Stats Portal :-

We’ve highlighted 4 form players who may get some minutes mid-week. Team of the Season members, the aforementioned J. Palhinha (£3.8m) but also I. Thiago (£3.6m) who continues to score with regularity for Brentford.
J. Mateta (£4.2m) and D. Welbeck (£3.4m) are also hovering just outside of the striker Team of the Season places and all four clubs (Spurs, Brentford, Palace and Brighton) have favourable forthcoming fixtures, including mid-week Carabao Cup ties….
