Week 10 – Diego Go-al-mez (sorry!)
Another partial double game week with Carabao Cup fixtures taking place mid-week, this has given the Team of the Week another ‘unfamiliar’ look to it this week, the team made up primarily of players who started both League and Cup fixtures, such as R. Cherki (£3.5m) who is this week’s Star Player of the Week :-

Another formation change for the Team of the Season – Defenders are back on top with our second 5-3-2 formation so far this year.
Led by the miserly Arsenal back line, D. Raya (£4.4m) makes his debut in the team and, if Arsenal continue shutting teams out, Raya could be hard to shift….
Following their two clean sheets this week, Crystal Palace defenders M. Guehi (£3.6m) and gamer favourite (in 35% of teams) D. Munoz (£3.7m) come into the side with M. van de Ven (£3.3m) and B. Mbuemo (£4.2m) making way.
J. Mateta (£4.2m) replaces I. Thiago (£3.6m) in a very South of England looking side, with one notable exception of course – another 12 points for the runaway Player of the Season – E. Haaland (£8.3m).
The quarter finals of the Carabao won’t be played until mid to late December so, for the next 5 gameweeks we concentrate on the League:-

Whilst they don’t have the easiest run of fixtures (and are now out of the Carabao Cup), Brighton players may be a good source of cheaper ‘enablers’ for your team. The Differentiators report, page 9 on our player stats portal :-

highlights the form of Team of the Season member, Paraguyan D. Gomez (£2.6m) who has now added points from the league rather than just his four goal haul in the Cup.
Gomez does seem to be an intermittent ‘hauler’ mind you who is now in 9% of teams, perhaps you’d prefer Y. Minteh (£3.0m) who is more consistent in his scoring and is in just 2% of teams.

D. Welbeck (£3.4m) was highlighted in last week’s blog and, he added another goal this week to his tally amid calls for him to be re-instated to the England side !
And finally, noting B. Guimaraes (£4.2m) in the above form guide and with Newcastle top of the forthcoming fixture ticker, perhaps Bruno and/or N. Woltemade (£4.5m) are worthy of consideration…
