Week 25 – Eze come, Eze Go(als) !

A double game week for Arsenal and Wolves only, led to four Arsenal players in the Team of the Week (no Wolves representatives I’m afraid despite the league’s bottom side battling to an excellent 2-2 draw with the league leaders!)

Star Man of the Week is D. Henderson (£3.1m) with a penalty save and clean sheet helping him amass 15 points this week. Bargain keeper Henderson is still the second most popular goalkeeper in the game and in 21% of sides.

B. Guimaraes‘s (£4.2m) long term injury (not expected back till 11th April) means we’ve replaced him in the Affordable and Available Team of the Season with D. Rice (£4.8m). This is the only change to last week’s side.

Looking forwards to Week 26 we have just one set of games for the first time for a while ! :-

although a double game week follows in week 27 for those sides still in the FA Cup.

Ominously for Arteta’s Gunners, Pep Guardiola’s Man City top the fixture difficulty list by a large points margin, not only do they have relatively easy League fixtures but they are still in both Cups, albeit with a trickier looking away fixture at Newcastle in the next round of the FA.

From the form tables, aside from the two highest points scoring and ‘must have’ City players in the game – E. Haaland (£8.3m) and A. Semenyo (£3.1m) – N. O’Reilly (£3.1m) jumps out since his position change into Midfield and at just £3.1m with only 2% ownership he could represent a real differential bargain?

We’ve highlighted three form defensive picks from the Livepool defence also, the expensive duo V. van Dijk (£5.2m), A. Becker (£4.6m) and perhaps the cheaper alternative to consider I. Konate (£4.0m) who is in just 3% of sides.

And finally a tip of the hat to the slightly maligned ! V. Gyokeres (£5.7m) who is Arsenal’s most in form player, his brace of goals against Spurs in the North London derby proved those doubters that claimed he could only score against the league’s weakest, relegation threatened sides wrong…. oh, wait….. 😆

To back up the above, we’ve highlighted some of these names again on the Differentiators tab on the Player Stats Portal :-

R. Sanchez (£3.6m) is the in-form keeper (closely followed by the aforementioned A. Becker (£4.6m) – Sanchez could be worth a punt as he is nearly £1 mil cheaper than Raya…?

In addition to the aforementioned O’Reilly and Gyokeres – C. Summerville (£3.9m) continues to impress as does the under-the radar Chelsea forward P. Neto (£3.9m).
