Week 16 – Erling leads an ominous looking City…
Another comfortable victory for the ominous and inevitable (115 charges) Manchester City and Star Player of the Season E. Haaland (£8.3m) had a hand in all three goals, making him also Star Player of the Week with 15 points. One would assume the 29% of gamers who haven’t got him in their side are somewhat ‘disengaged’ with the game?! 😆

A couple of long term injuries to D. Munoz (£3.7m) and B. Fernandes (£6.4m) :-

mean we’ve reinstated the Affordable and Available Team of the Season, found on page 2 of the Player Stats Portal :-

M. Guehi (£3.6m) replaces his team mate Munoz and J. Palhinha (£3.8m) returns to replace Bruno. M. Rogers (£3.8m) continues his (and Villa’s) fine form and makes his debut in the top side this season.
We highlighted Rogers’ fine form in last week’s blog actually, clearly 7% of gamers must have read it 😆:-

but our only trepidation about bringing him in now is Villa’s tough set of forthcoming fixtures, especially those 5 tough away games :-

To the 6% of gamers who also must have read our blog and brought in H. Wilson (£2.9m) – including myself, well they were rewarded with a blank and a potential injury, so, sorry about that ! 😆
A serious (inevitable?!) leg injury to (Bambi) A. Isak (£6.1m) :-

guarantees lots of minutes for the most transferred in player (8%) H. Ekitike (£5.1m) and with some juicy looking fixtures there for Liverpool, we’re expecting even more gamers to gift themselves a new TFF striker for Xmas…
Finally, a few players not already mentioned flying under the radar a bit at the moment:-

D. Calvert-Lewin (£3.7m) has now scored in 5 games in a row ! and represents great value in the striker positions, perhaps as a replacement for the out of form Team of the Season striker I. Thiago (£3.6m)…?
City’s defence is much improved (like the rest of their side!) and their consistent centre backs J. Gvardiol (£4.6m) and R. Dias (£5.2m) are great (albeit expensive) Defensive options.
And, a little surprisingly Sunderland and Team of the Season, ultra cheap enabling keeper R. Roefs (£2.6m) continues to pick up clean sheet points – in fact it’s Roefs vs Calvert-Lewin next up, who’s your money on?!
Right – Festive Greetings to one and all, we’ll be back with a New Years Eve blog, until then a throw back to last year’s Xmas for our current, nailed on (barring an injury!) Star Player of the Season :-
