Week 21 – Utds on the Up, Haaland on the down

More twists and turns in the Premier League title race this week ! – Man Utd proved that their derby victory over Man City wasn’t just a new manager bounce, delivering a first home defeat to Arsenal this season.

The cheap United defender playing as a winger, P. Dorgu (£2.9m) scored a cracker again and is in this week’s Team of the Week (although watch out as he does have an injury doubt). Another resurgent United is that of West Ham, J. Bowen (£5.5m) delivered a goal and an assist in their 3-1 victory over Sunderland and he takes the Star Player of the Week award.

No changes this week to the Team of the Season ! – other than a couple of order changes, M. Guehi (£3.6m) gets a clean sheet in his first game for City and overtakes G. Magalhaes (£4.5m) into the second highest points scoring Defender.

Arsenal looked un-characteristically shaky at the back shipping three goals to Utd, honestly it could have been more but for some woeful finishing from B. Fernandes (£6.4m). Arsenal still top the goals conceded metric but, not by much now:-

E. Haaland (£8.3m) still leads the race for Player of the Season…. BUT, his new team-mate A. Semenyo (£3.1m) may have him in his sights ! he’s still 23 points behind but, look at Haaland’s 4 week form – just 18 points scored !!

E. Fernandez (£4.3m) of Chelsea is bang in form and Chelsea also have numerous and reasonable looking fixtures forthcoming, Fernandez is a BUY recommendation from us!

Gamers seem to agree, although it is the resurgent Man Utd players attracting most attention with B. Fernandes (£6.4m) and, back from the Afcon, B. Mbeumo (£4.2m) most transferred in this week :-

Both P. Foden (£5.4m) and E. Haaland (£8.3m) were rested on the bench this week, prompting 9% of gamers to ditch them from their sides:-

Our only reluctance to bringing in Man United players for TFF is their lack of Cup games, our TFF version of the Fixture Ticker found on the Player Stats Portal :-

shows the impact of the Cups on the game, for example, City are joint bottom in League only fixtures with a 7.2 rating, but, two forthcoming home Cup games (and obviously more should they progress as expected) gives them an adjusted score of 10.4 on our TFF version…. with the ability to make inter week fixture transfers in the Telegraph, I personally think making use of the above tool is nigh on essential to success in TFF?! 😊
